- The accident took place on 11 September: 24 -year -old Amit of Kurana Panipat in America died during an accident in the US. The young man was burnt alive in the truck itself. The family of the deceased was living in Karnal for the last 20 years. The accident occurred at the Exit 166 of the I-40 Highway in Arkansas State at around 9:30 am on September 11. At the time of the accident, Amit was returning by emptying the truck. As soon as he came out after filling diesel from the fuel pump, a loaded truck hit his truck from the right side.
- Diesel tank exploded: The collision was so strong that Amit’s truck hit the roadside trees and during that time there was a blast in the diesel tank near the cabin. Shortly, the rear tank also exploded and the truck turned into a fireball. Amit was engulfed in flames and could not get out.

- Father’s death in childhood: Mama Harpal Singh said that Amit and Ankit’s father Krishna Kumar died many years ago from a heart attack. His mother raised both of them. Although his family is originally from Kurana village in Panipat, but 20 years ago his family came to live near the new grain market of Karnal.
- After brother went to America in 2023: Mama further told that in 2016 Ankit went to America from Dunki route. After this, Amit also insisted on going there. For this, the family spent 60 lakh rupees. In 2023, Amit also reached America by Danki route. It took him 7 months to reach there. Going there, he first worked in a store and then became a truck driver.

Talked to brother 15 minutes before death
Just 15 minutes before the accident, Amit spoke to his brother Ankit on the phone. Amit had told that the truck was returning after emptying and he has got diesel filled. The conversation was normal and no one had an idea that this would be Amit’s last call. At around 9:30, his truck fell victim to the accident and he was burnt alive. The police took possession of the burnt body remains and sent it for postmortem.

Police handed over the remains of the dead body and said do not see open
The deceased’s maternal uncle Harpal said that the police took the DNA sample of Amit’s brother Ankit before handing over the dead body and matched the DNA with the DNA of the deceased. After the confirmation, some remains of the dead body were handed over to the relatives. The remains were wrapped in a cloth, which were brought to California via the coffin.
The police had given strict instructions not to open the remains of the dead body. The rules were followed and cremated according to Hindu customs.
