Working women reached 30.8%, up from 25.4% earlier. At the same time, cesarean delivery in private hospitals is at a record level of 54.1%. The rate of ‘exclusively breastfeeding’ infants for the first six months has fallen from 63.7% to 55.8%. Electricity has reached 98.3% homes and clean water has reached 96.5% homes. Internet usage among women has doubled to 64.3%. 18.8% women have ownership rights of land. Now in total 18.8% families in the country, women have ownership rights of house or land. 18.2% in cities and 19.1% in rural areas. Whereas in the previous (2021) survey it was only 14.0%. But the number of women adopting modern methods of family planning (such as pill, condom, sterilization) has declined and has come down from 56.4% in the previous survey to 52.7% now. Stunting among malnourished children reduced. In the 2021 survey, the figure of stunting among malnourished children was 35.5%, which has now come down to 29.3%. This improvement of 6.2 percentage points in the height of children is a huge and positive relief. Only 15.3% children between 6 months to 2 years are getting proper and balanced food.
