In the 40s to 70s, Dev Anand was in the fire as a hero. He had a tremendous craze among the girls. His craze among the female fans remained till his last time. Actress Mumtaz, who has worked in ‘Tere Mere Sapne’ and ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’ with Dev Anand, has shared an anecdote related to her.

In an interview to Radio Drug addiction, Mumtaz says that Dev Anand had an obsession about looking young. She says that once Dev Anand told her, ‘Even if an actor dies, his corpse should look good.’

Mumtaz further said, ‘He told me,’ You need to take care of your hair, your figure and yourself, because you should look the same. When you walk on the road, both men and women rotate your head and look at you. If you take care of yourself, you will never have to worry about your age.

This interview shares another anecdote about Mumtaz Dev Anand. Mumtaz says that once she went to meet Dev Anand on her set. At that time Dev Anand was 85 years old. He also proved that age is just a number.

She says- ‘Dev Anand asked her makeup man to open the door of her room. As soon as the door opened, three young beautiful girls were trying to see them. Then closed the door and said to me, ‘Look, baby, I still have options. I am 85 and these girls are 25-30 years old. Seeing all this, only Wow came out of my mouth. His talk is in my mind till date.
