Many people trapped in the hotel came down with the help of clothes. Many people jumped from the third-fourth floor without support.
Many serious negligence are coming to light in the investigation of the massive fire incident in the 5-storey Flourish Stay Hotel located in Malviya Nagar, Delhi. Police arrested the hotel’s co-owner Lavkesh Bajaj late on Wednesday night. He told the police that the work of the hotel was handled by other people.
According to sources, Bajaj said that he himself did not monitor the hotel. He had given the work of hotel management, billing and accounts to someone else. He also said that enlargement of rooms and other changes in the hotel had also been suggested by someone else.
Bajaj claimed that the person giving advice had told him – all these modifications in the hotel are normal and everything is fine in Delhi. Bajaj has also admitted that the hotel did not have a fire NOC. Police are now checking construction approvals, electricity connections and other records.
22 people have died in this accident, of which 11 are foreigners and 11 are Indian citizens. The entire family of Vivek Aggarwal, a chartered accountant from Gurugram, was burnt to ashes in the fire. Vivek had told a relative on the phone amidst the fire – Brother, perhaps we will not be able to survive.

accidents It could not be known how many people were in the hotel at the time. Fire service, police and local people had admitted 58 people to different hospitals. Two women and a man were brought dead to the Burns and Plastic Surgery Block of AIIMS Delhi. All three were around 40 years old. Identification has not been done yet.
39 people were taken to Max Hospital, of which 18 had died before reaching the hospital. DNA test will be done to identify the dead bodies. 15 people are admitted in ICU. Of these, 8 are on ventilator. 10 policemen were also injured during the rescue.
Among the dead are 8 people from CA’s family, 9 African citizens.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that this hotel was approved for 6 rooms under the ‘Bed and Breakfast’ scheme, but more than 25 rooms were built on 5 floors. There was only one way to reach the hotel. Most of the hotel’s windows were closed or sealed.
According to Delhi Fire Service, the fire started from the items kept near the stairs of the ground floor and within a few minutes the smoke spread throughout the building. This made it very difficult for people to go out. LPG cylinders were also found in the hotel during the rescue operation.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out at 8:30 in the morning. The sensor based main gate was closed. However its investigation is ongoing. Before the fire brigade arrived, the local people had started rescuing. Arman, who runs a blanket-mattress shop in front of the hotel, had taken out all the new mattresses and quilts from the shop and spread them on the road.
Arman said, many people fell on these mattresses from the upper floors of the hotel, which helped save their lives. Many people broke the glass, due to which the people trapped inside came out. Local youth Afzal, Shahrukh, Anees, Aamir and Wasim also gave CPR to at least 10 people.

CA Vivek and family came to meet father in the hospital
Radheshyam Aggarwal, father of Gurugram’s CA Vivek, was admitted in the nearby Max Hospital for the last several days. Family members had come to Delhi to see him and had booked two rooms at Hotel Flourish Stay.
Vivek’s mother, wife, both daughters, maternal uncle Ashok Goyal, aunt Kamla and her husband Javari Lal also died in the accident. Vivek’s elder daughter Jeevisha had reached Delhi from Bengaluru a day earlier to meet her grandfather.
After the accident, only Vivek’s father Radheshyam Aggarwal is alive in the family, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Vivek’s father-in-law Prem Bansal told that the daughter had also called for help, but within some time the entire family came under fire.
