PWD took the keys of the house from Atishi, AAP alleges – threw the stuff out PWD officials had come to the CM residence at 11-11:30 am on October 9. According to him, rules were not followed in handing over the house. Atishi had the keys of this house, but he was not given the official documents of allotment of the house. The officials took the keys of the house by afternoon.

Regarding this, the CM office said, ‘For the first time in history, a Chief Minister has been asked to vacate his house. LG forcibly took out CM Atishi’s belongings from the house at the behest of BJP. Preparations are being made to give this CM residence to a big BJP leader. BJP has been out of the government in Delhi for 27 years, now it wants to grab the CM residence.

PWD had written a letter to the CM office on October 6 saying that the keys given by Kejriwal while vacating the house were taken back after some time. PWD said that the keys will be given for the allotment of the house.

Vigilance department sent show-cause notice to three officers The Director of Vigilance has sent a show-cause notice to three officials including Kejriwal’s Special Secretary. Two other officers are those who were posted in the CM Camp Office when Kejriwal was the CM. Arvind Kejriwal shifted to Bungalow No. 5 on Ferozeshah Road in Lutyens Delhi on the afternoon of 4 October. This bungalow has been given to AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, Ashok Mittal.

CM himself chooses bungalow in Delhi, no official residence There is no official CM house in Delhi. Even before Kejriwal became CM, he had lived in different bungalows. In 1993, Madanlal Khurana was allotted 33 Shamnath Marg, then Sahib Singh Verma was allotted 9 Shamnath Marg and Sheila Dikshit was allotted AB-17 Mathura Road in the first term and 3 Motilal Nehru Marg bungalow in the second term.

In Delhi, the Chief Minister chooses a bungalow as per his convenience. After leaving the post of CM, he has to live in his ancestral, private or rented house. No separate housing allowance is given for this. Housing allowance is included in the total amount given per month.
