A fire broke out on Saturday afternoon at Cosmos Hospital in Karkardoma, Delhi. Some oxygen cylinders also came in the grip of fire. According to the Delhi Fire Department, after filling the smoke in the hospital, 11 patients were shifted to a safe place by breaking the glass. The rest of the oxygen cylinders were taken out in time, otherwise a big accident could have happened.
A housekeeping staff named Amit had locked himself in the bathroom of the hospital after the fire, due to which he died of suffocation. To extinguish fire Delhi The fire service sent eight fire tenders on the spot. Cosmos Hospital located in Anand Vihar has a medical treatment related to joint replacement and trauma management.

The deceased have been identified as Shabibul (30), Rabibul (30), Muttu Ali (45), Rubina (25), Dolly (25), Hashibul, Rukhsana (6) and Hasina (7). Another deceased has not been identified. Senior police officer Aishwarya Sharma said, ‘There is an old temple here and there are old slums next to it where junk lives. The wall collapsed due to heavy rains throughout the night. We have now evacuated these slums so that there is no such incident in future.

According to the Meteorological Department, in 24 hours till 8.30 am on Saturday morning, Delhi’s Primary Meteor Center Safdarjung recorded 78.7 mm of rain, while Pragati Maidan recorded 100 mm of rain. Amidst torrential rains, the water level of Yamuna in Delhi has reached a warning level of 204.50 meters, which has increased the possibility of floods in low -lying areas. The agencies are keeping a close watch on the situation.
