‘दिमागी नक्सल’ पर BJP की मीम वॉर: मुन्ना भैया, रॉकी भाई से लेकर KGF तक के सीन इस्तेमाल, सोशल मीडिया पर विरोध

BJP has made the word ‘mindful Naxal’ used in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speech a part of its social media campaign. Different state units of the party are making memes on ‘Dimaagi Naxal’ from popular scenes of films and web series. These include scenes from Mirzapur’s Munna Bhaiya and Kaleen Bhaiya to KGF and Singham. However, the campaign is also facing opposition on social media. BJP’s social media team started the meme war. On August 26, BJP Chhattisgarh had posted ‘Avengers Assemble’ and given a message to the party units of other states to join the campaign. After this, many state level social media accounts of BJP posted memes one after the other. In these posts, popular characters and scenes from films and web series were linked with political messages. BJP is trying to convey its message to the youth, especially Gen Z, through these memes. From the scenes of Munna Bhaiya to ‘Singham’, the most discussed meme was Mirzapur’s Munna Bhaiya. In this, Munna Bhaiya is seen slapping a student and BJP has shown the student as a ‘mindless Naxal’. BJP Chhattisgarh gave the message that instead of becoming a ‘mindless Naxal’ one should contribute to the progress of the country. After this BJP used a scene from Singham. It featured actor Ajay Devgan’s character beating up a goon and linked it to the treatment of a psychotic Naxal in ‘Chhattisgarh style’. Delhi BJP took the campaign forward from the Kaleen Bhaiya scene of Mirzapur. At the same time, Goa BJP converted a scene from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah into a political meme. Most of the controversies were raised on the KGF meme. Most of the questions were raised on social media on a scene of KGF shared by BJP Karnataka. In this, Rocky and his companions are seen firing at the opponents from the hill. BJP edited the scene to present different state units as the attackers and ‘mindless Naxals’ as their opponents. It was written in the post that the campaign against ‘mindless Naxals’ will continue with full force. After this post, many social media users accused BJP of promoting violent political language. Some people raised the question that if Gen Z or the youth are being called ‘mindless Naxals’ then is it right to respond through violent scenes in films. Opposition and social media users also raised questions Opposition and many social media users criticized BJP regarding the campaign. One user said that in a democracy, ideas should be responded to with ideas, not with bullets or signs of violence. Yashaswini Raje Singh, daughter of former BJP MLA Vikram Singh, also raised questions on the campaign. He alleged that the BJP has played a role in normalizing violent political rhetoric in the country. In the last few days, a pattern has been seen in BJP’s social media campaign with each state unit promoting the other’s post. One state unit posts a meme on ‘mindless Naxal’, another reacts to the same post and a third adds a new meme. According to a member associated with BJP IT cell, its objective is to simultaneously activate the social media networks of different states. With this, the posts of one state can reach the users of other states also and the political narrative of the party can be taken to more people. Preparation to increase campaign on Instagram also: This campaign of BJP is not going to be limited to X. According to the report, the next focus of the party’s social media team is Instagram, where Gen Z has a huge presence. The party’s strategy is to reach out to more youth by combining viral scenes from popular films and pop culture with political messages. A BJP leader has just described this campaign as a ‘trailer’.
