Amid the controversy between Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment over the film Don 3, it was claimed that in a meeting held in March 2026, Ranveer’s team had offered Excel a fee waiver of ₹10 crore and ₹25 crore for future films, but the production house refused it.

It is noteworthy that on Monday, FWICE has issued a non-cooperation notice against Ranveer Singh.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, a big meeting was held in the first week of March, in which many well-known people including Aamir Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala, Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani attended. In this meeting, Ranveer Singh’s team proposed an agreement to Excel Entertainment.

According to the source, Ranveer’s team immediately made an offer of ₹10 crore to Excel. It was also said that if the two work together again in a film in the future, Ranveer will give a discount of ₹25 crore on his fee.

Claim- Farhan and Ritesh rejected the offer

Ranveer’s team intended to compensate Excel for their loss and maintain their relationship. However, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani were not happy with this proposal.

According to the report, he believed that he had no plans to work with Ranveer in the future, so the offer of discount in fees was of no use to him.

According to the source, Farhan and Ritesh were very angry with the delays and controversies in the last two years. He said that due to this he has suffered both financial and professional loss. So they just wanted immediate cash compensation.

Both Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar shared the screen together in the film Dil Dhadakne Do.

Claim of huge expenditure in pre-production

It was also said that Excel Entertainment had already spent a lot of money on the pre-production of Don 3. The company had demanded compensation considering the expenses incurred in the preparation, scheduling and other related works of the film.

On the other hand, Ranveer and his team had a different thinking. Ranveer was upset that during the weak phase of his career, Excel was considering other actors for the film. There was talk in the industry that Hrithik Roshan was also discussed about the film, which Ranveer’s team did not like.

A source close to Ranveer says that the actor felt that if Excel was not fully supporting him at that time, then the trust had already been broken. Ranveer was also not completely satisfied with the script. He believed that the film was not going in the right direction after Dhurandhar. He felt that Farhan Akhtar was not completely focused on this project.

However, Ranveer’s team said that the actor did not want to leave Excel at a loss. For this reason, he had given an offer of Rs 10 crore and a discount of Rs 25 crore in a future film, but Excel wanted direct cash compensation instead of working together in the future.
