PM inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 9,400 crore in Hyderabad. During this time, he had humorously asked Revant Reddy to join him.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday jokingly asked Telangana Chief Minister and Congress leader Revanth Reddy to join the BJP. Actually, PM had come to inaugurate projects worth Rs 9,400 crore in the state.
The PM here in a light-hearted manner told Revanth Reddy that whatever the Central Government gave to Gujarat in 10 years, I am ready to give to Telangana also. But according to my experience, by doing this, what you are getting now will be reduced to half. Therefore, it would be better if you join me only.
However, the PM said these things on the recommendation of Telangana CM. In which he had told the PM that just as Gujarat developed under the Manmohan government, Telangana should also develop in the same way.

Revanth said- Just like Gujarat got in Manmohan government, you give it to us.
Revanth Reddy said, when Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister of the country. Modi was the Chief Minister then and he realized the ‘Gujarat Model’ in 10 years. Similarly, the people of Telangana hope that in the next 10 years, the ‘Telangana Development Model’ will also be realized during my tenure as the Chief Minister. Just as Manmohan Singh had supported Gujarat, Reddy requested Modi to support the development of Telangana.
Revanth Reddy also said that while on one hand Modi wants the development of India, he should also take Telangana along. For the development of Telangana, please spare two hours, so that we can present our development proposals before you.
PM’s answer- I am ready to give, you join us
Responding to Revanth’s point, the PM said – Whatever the central government (under the leadership of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh) gave to Gujarat in 10 years (when Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat), I am also ready to give you all that, but then the state will not be left with as much as it is getting from the Center now, and you will not be able to achieve your goals. So, you better come with me.

Revanth Reddy also gave momentum to PM Modi in the program.
Two meanings of PM’s joke
- Assembly elections in Telangana after two years: The last assembly elections in Telangana were held on 30 November 2023. The Congress Party won the majority and Revanth Reddy became the Chief Minister, while the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) was voted out of power. BJP had got only 8 seats. In such a situation, Modi has already started preparing for the next elections.
- NDA in Andhra, Telangana was separated from it: There is NDA government in Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu’s party TDP is with BJP. In such a situation, BJP wants the government to be formed in the neighboring state also. Actually, Telangana was formed as a new state by separating from Andhra Pradesh in 2024.
PM inaugurates the first PM Mitra Park in Warangal, Telangana
PM Modi will also inaugurate PM MITRA Park in Warangal, Telangana. It is also known as Kakatiya Mega Textile Park. Developed at an estimated cost of approximately Rs 1,700 crore, it is India’s first fully functional PM MITRA Park. It realizes the ‘5F’ vision of the Government of India – Farm to Fiber to Factory to Fashion to Foreign.
