The work of allotment of land to build a memorial of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has started. According to media reports, the Central Government has suggested some places for the memorial to Dr. Singh’s family. Further action will be taken after the family selects the place.

According to sources, there is a possibility of Dr. Singh’s memorial being built near the mausoleums of Gandhi-Nehru family. One and a half acre land can be given for this. For this, officials of the Urban Development Ministry have also visited Rajghat and its surroundings.

According to the new policy, land can be allotted only to a trust. For this reason a trust will have to be formed first. Only the Trust will apply for the land.
