Producer Pahlaj Nihalani made several allegations against film director David Dhawan. Recently, in an interview to Vicky Lalwani, Pahlaj Nihalani said that David Dhawan was a dummy director for me.

In the interview, Pahlaj said, “David did not even come for a day for 27 days during the shooting climax of the film ‘Aankhen’. He was shooting for another film in Mumbai. Recording of songs, location shoots and action scenes I used to watch all.” He said, “David used to shoot only dialogue scenes. Story, screenplays and dialogues I got the songs recording myself.”

David Dhawan directed films like ‘Shola and Shabnam’, ‘Aankhen’ and ‘Andaz’ and produced by Pahlaj Nihalani.

Let us know that in the 1990s, David Dhawan gave many hits like ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Aankhen’, ‘Hero No. 1’, ‘Hasina Mann Jayegi’, ‘Bol Radha Bol’. Some of these films were produced by Pahlaj Nihalani.

Pahlaj said- David provoked Govinda against me Pahlaj also said that David Dhawan filled Govinda’s mind against him. He said, “He (David Dhawan) felt that I earned a lot of money from the film ‘Aankhen’. While the truth is that I gave him the name.”

On the question of a quarrel with David Dhawan, Pahlaj said that there was never an open quarrel between him and David, but David used to do evil behind the back, causing a rift. Pahlaj also told that he had also suggested the story of films like ‘Deewana Mastana’, ‘Jodi No. 1’ and ‘Hasina Mann Jaaye’.

David Dhawan has directed more than 40 films.

Pahlaj Nihalani said, “David has always been copying the work of others. He has continuously remake Tamil, Telugu and English films.”
