Tata Group’s retail chain company Trent Limited has made a profit of Rs 391 crore in the first quarter of the financial year 2024-25. It has increased by 135% as compared to the same quarter a year ago. In Q1FY24 (first quarter of financial year 2023-24), the company had a profit of Rs 167 crore.
Talking about the consolidated revenue from the company’s operations, it was Rs 4,104 crore in the April-June quarter. It has increased by 56% on an annual basis. In the same quarter a year ago, the company had generated a revenue of Rs 2,628 crore. The amount received from selling goods and services is called revenue.
Trent Limited’s total income increased by 55%
In the April-June quarter, the total income of Trent Limited increased by 55% year-on-year to Rs 4,150 crore. In the first quarter of the financial year 2023-24, the company’s income was Rs 2,680 crore. At the same time, the total expense of the company during this period was Rs 3,705 crore.
Trent shares rose more than 10% after the results
After the first quarter results, Trent shares are trading at Rs 6,245.30, up 10.65 points at 2:30 pm today (Friday, August 9).
Trent’s stock has given a return of 17.14% in 5 days, 11.05% in one month, 65.22% in six months and 247.28% in one year. This year, i.e. from January 1 till now, the company’s stock has risen by 106.82%.
Trent shares are trading at Rs 6,245.30, up 10.65 points at 2:30 pm today (Friday, August 9).
Trent Limited runs a hypermarket and supermarket chain
Trent Limited is a subsidiary of Tata Group. The company works as a retail chain operator in India. It was started on 5 December 1952 as Lakme. Trent’s Westside with Tata Group provides branded fashion apparel and other items for women, men and children.
The company operates department stores, hypermarkets, supermarkets and specialty stores. Its products include clothing, shoes, cosmetics, perfumes, handbags, furniture and other accessories.
