US President Donald Trump has claimed that important talks will be held between America and Iran in Qatar’s capital Doha on Tuesday. Trump says that Iran itself requested this meeting. While speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said that America’s goal is to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He said that there will be discussion on taking forward the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two countries on June 17. According to US officials, special envoy Steve Witkoff has left for Doha. However, it was not made clear whether Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner was traveling with him or not. On the other hand, Iran’s Foreign Ministry rejected Trump’s claim and said that no political talks are scheduled with the US at any level. The ministry clarified that Iran will send only an expert delegation to Doha, which will work on technical issues like taking the MoU forward and releasing Iranian assets stuck in Qatar. 4 big updates of the last 24 hours… 1.
