Before Donald Trump, Ronald Reagan’s swearing-in ceremony in 1985 also took place inside the Capitol Hill building.
The swearing-in ceremony of newly elected President Donald Trump will not be held outdoors on Monday, January 20, but inside the US Capitol Hill (Parliament) due to severe cold. According to Reuters, this will be the first time in 40 years that the swearing-in ceremony of a US President will be held inside. The temperature is expected to be minus 7 degrees Celsius during Trump’s swearing-in.
Trump said on his Truth social platform on Friday that an Arctic storm is going on in the country. I don’t want people to get injured in any way. Therefore, in addition to the prayers and other speeches, I have ordered that the inaugural address also be given in the Capitol Rotunda (a circular room inside the building).
Trump said-

Everyone will be safe, everyone will be happy and together we will make America great again

Earlier in 1985, the swearing in of Ronald Reagan also took place in the Capitol Rotunda. The temperature at that time was between minus 23 to minus 29 degrees Celsius. The Capitol Rotunda is beneath the dome in the Capitol Hill building. It is connected to the corridors leading to both houses of the US Parliament.

America is struggling with the polar vortex
Many states of America are currently struggling with severe cold winds. The main reason for this is believed to be the polar vortex. Polar vortexes flow counter-clockwise. Due to the geographical structure, the Polar Vortex usually revolves around the North Pole, but when it moves towards the south, it brings severe cold to America, Europe and Asia.

What risks could there be?
Going out of the house when the polar vortex is going on can prove to be extremely dangerous. At this time, going out without winter kit can cause a heart attack in 5 to 7 minutes. Apart from this, the skin may freeze. Even the car does not start in such weather. The only way to avoid this is to stay indoors when polar winds are blowing.
Some research has shown that the Arctic is warming rapidly in the last few years, due to which the polar vortex is shifting towards the south.

Due to severe cold in America, emergency was imposed in 7 states a few days ago.
Emergency meeting was called regarding the program
An emergency meeting of law enforcement officials has been called to hold Trump’s swearing-in ceremony inside the building. Members of the US Congress (Parliament) have also been informed about this.
Jaishankar will participate in the swearing-in on behalf of India Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of America. Before this, he had served as the 45th President between 2017 and 2021. Apart from Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and Sam Altman may be present among American industrialists.
Apart from this, India’s richest person Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani will also go to America to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Donald Trump.
Record donations at Trump’s inauguration
Trump’s team has received record donations for the swearing-in ceremony. Industrialists are funding heavily to build better relations with Trump. According to the New York Times, 170 million dollars (about Rs 1.5 thousand crore) have arrived so far. This figure could even reach $200 million.
Last time, donations worth $62 million (Rs 500 crore) were collected at Biden’s swearing-in ceremony. At the same time, 107 million dollars (Rs 925 crore) were collected in Trump’s 2017 swearing-in ceremony.
