An American court has rejected US President Donald Trump’s billion-dollar defamation case against the ‘Wall Street Journal’ newspaper and its owner Rupert Murdock.
The newspaper had claimed in a report that Trump had relations with disgraced rich businessman Jeffrey Epstein. According to the report, in 2003, a letter was found in an album on Epstein’s 50th birthday, on which Trump’s name was written. In this letter, a sketch of a woman without clothes was made and at the end there was a birthday wish.
Trump had called it false and said that he had not written any such letter, and this had caused huge damage to his image. But Miami Judge Darrin Giles dismissed the case. The judge said that Trump could not prove that the newspaper had deliberately published this news with malicious intent. His arguments were baseless.
Sex offender Jeffrey Epstein died in prison. According to official reports he had committed suicide.

The judge also said that Trump was forcibly trying to find flaws in the newspaper’s investigation.
The court has given this decision permanently, which means Trump can no longer take this case to court again.
Epstein was a millionaire financier and sex offender.
Jeffrey Epstein was a millionaire financier from New York. He was friends with big leaders and celebrities.
He was accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl in 2005. In 2008 he was convicted of soliciting sex from a minor.
He was jailed for 13 months. In 2019, Jeffrey was arrested on sex trafficking charges. But before the trial he committed suicide in jail.
His partner Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted of charges of helping him in 2021. She is serving a 20-year sentence.
