There was a sharp debate in front of the media at the White House on Wednesday between US President Donald Trump and South African President Cyril Ramfosa. Trump alleged that blond farmers were being massacred in South Africa.
During the meeting at the Oval Office, Trump asked his staff to reduce the lights and play a video on a big screen. After showing the video, Trump claimed that this proves that the white people are being targeted on a large scale, due to which the farmers are running towards the US.
However, South African President Ramposa rejected Trump’s claims. He told the US President in a calm tone- people of all castes in South Africa are suffering from violent crime. Most of them are black. Only white people are not being persecuted there.
Ramfosa also taunted Trump on the plane found in the gift by the Qatar government. He said- Our government is trying to overcome apartheid in South Africa. However, I am sad that I do not have an aircraft to give you, on which Trump said- I wish you had it.
