- Serena Williams & Carlos Alcaraz Receive US Open Mixed Doubles Wild Card

Serena Williams will play mixed doubles with Carlos Alcaraz in the US Open. The US Tennis Association said Saturday that Williams and Alcaraz have been given wild cards for the tournament. The main draw of mixed doubles will start from Tuesday.
This will be Serena’s first US Open since 2022. Whereas Spain’s player Carlos Alcaraz is the defending champion. He won the 2025 title.
Serena last played the US Open in 2022.
Serena won 23 Grand Slams
Serena will enter the US Open for the first time after 2022. The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion has returned to tennis. Williams has not yet said whether she will play singles in New York or not. For this, the association has still reserved a women’s wild card.
Williams played singles at Wimbledon. After this she played doubles with her elder sister Venus in the Cincinnati Open.
Serena won the Australian Open in 2017. This was her 23rd and last Grand Slam title.
Alcaraz will return from right wrist injury
Alcaraz said this week that he would return to defend his US Open singles title. He was out of tennis since April due to a right wrist injury.
