On Monday (22 January) morning, terrorists attacked an army camp in Rajouri, Jammu. One soldier was injured in this. An army officer said that the terrorists opened fire on the 63 RR army camp in Gundha, Rajouri, to which retaliation was given.

During this, a soldier got shot and has been admitted to the hospital. Immediately after the incident, more security forces were sent to the spot. A search operation has been started to locate the hidden terrorists.

On July 16, terrorists attacked security forces in Desa in Doda district of Jammu. During the search operation, 4 soldiers including an army captain were martyred in the firing by terrorists. A policeman was also killed.

On July 8, 5 soldiers including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) were martyred in a terrorist attack in Kathua district. There have been 10 major terrorist attacks in Jammu region since April 22. 12 soldiers have been martyred in these.

On July 18, 2 terrorists were killed in Kupwara
On July 18, the army killed 2 terrorists in an encounter in Keran area of ​​Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir. The army had received information about some terrorists hiding here, after which a search operation was conducted. During this time, an encounter started between the terrorists and the army.

Meanwhile, an encounter is going on at two places in Doda. Two soldiers were injured in a terrorist attack on Thursday morning. Army officials said that terrorists opened fire on a temporary security camp set up in a school in Jaddan Bata village of Kastigarh area late on Wednesday night. Two soldiers were injured in this.

5 soldiers were martyred in an encounter in Doda on July 15
On July 15, 5 jawans including an army captain and a policeman were martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Doda. On July 16, firing took place again at 10:45 pm in Kalan Bhata of Desa forest belt of Doda and at 2 am in Panchan Bhata area. After these incidents, the army had set up a temporary security camp in the government school of Jaddan Bata village to conduct search operations.

Doda district was declared terrorism free in 2005. In the continuous attacks since June 12, 5 jawans were martyred, 9 security personnel were injured. While three terrorists were killed.

Clues of 24 terrorists hiding in Doda-Kathua
After the martyrdom of 12 soldiers in 10 terrorist attacks in the last 84 days in the Jammu region, the army has now started the biggest search operation. According to military sources, 7000 soldiers of the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, 8 drones, helicopters, about 40 search dogs have been deployed in the operation.

Most of the soldiers are from the National Rifles and Special Commandos of the Police. They have been deployed in the forests of the Pir Panjal range of Doda and Kathua districts. 5 locations have been identified here. The security forces have found clues about the presence of about 24 terrorists here. These include the terrorists who had an encounter with the army in the Desa forest of Doda. 5 soldiers were martyred in this.

Five soldiers including Captain Brijesh Thapa were martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Desa, Doda.

The battle will be long, soldiers are deployed with food and water supplies
According to a senior police officer, Doda and Kathua have been the epicentres of terrorism for the last five months. Evidence of terrorists hiding in an area of ​​about 250 km from Badnota in Kathua to Dhari Gote and Baggi in Doda has been found.

There is a large area of ​​20 square km here, from where the terrorists are easily climbing the mountain and attacking by ambushing, hence the soldiers have been deployed on these mountains with food items and ammunition.

There are also village guards in the mountains
The army has also deployed village guards in the forested high altitude areas. In 1995, 25000 village guards were deployed in Jammu and Kashmir after military training. Later they were removed. They were deployed again on 14 August 2022. They are given a salary of Rs 4000 per month and weapons.

Jammu terrorists are foreigners, their training is advanced
Retired Lieutenant General Sanjay Kulkarni told Bhaskar that the stature of the terrorists killed in the Jammu region recently is different from the terrorists of Kashmir. It is clear from the beginning that all of them are foreigners and have received training from the Pakistan Army. Whereas in Kashmir, local youths were pushed into terrorism without any training.

The army has understood the strengths, weaknesses and strategies of the foreign terrorists. Such a big operation has been started to finish them off soon. Now we cannot wait. We have many times more trained soldiers and advanced weapons than them. The terrorists will be wiped out from the entire region soon.
