In the last 28 days, 733 people linked to drug smuggling networks have been arrested in Jammu and Kashmir. During this period, bulldozers were used on 47 houses of accused drug peddlers.
To stop the movement of criminals, 373 driving licenses were suspended and licenses of 114 chemist shops were also suspended for violating the rules.
Actually, LG Manoj Sinha had started a 100-day campaign to end drug smuggling in Jammu and Kashmir.
180 Aadhaar cards deactivated
180 Aadhaar cards linked to smugglers were deactivated. Along with this, the government has appealed to the general public to come forward and provide information about any drug related activity.
Jammu Kashmir Police attaches smuggler’s property worth Rs 93 lakh in Chandigarh
Taking action against drug smuggling, Jammu and Kashmir Police has attached property worth about Rs 93 lakh in Chandigarh. This action is related to a case registered in Bagh-e-Bahu police station of Jammu under the NDPS Act.
According to the police, this case is of January 14, 2026. That day, Arun Singh, resident of Rajiv Nagar, Narwal, Jammu, was arrested during Naka checking. 5.61 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. After this, a case was registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and investigation was started.
