Security forces arrested a former hybrid terrorist on Wednesday in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. He has been identified as Manzoor Ahmed Bhat. A Chinese made pistol, two magazines and 16 bullets have been recovered from him.

According to the police, the accused has already been arrested in two cases. Handwara Police had received information about the activities of a module linked to the banned terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen. This module was active in Handwara-Kupwara area.

Hybrid terrorist is a radicalized person whose name is usually not included in the terrorist list. He carries out a specific terrorist or violent activity on the instructions of his handlers and then returns to normal life.
