The film ‘Chhawa’, released in the year 2025, was based on the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire. Vicky Kaushal played the role of Sambhaji Maharaj in the film, while the role of Maharani Yeshubai was played by Rashmika Mandanna. Akshay Khanna was seen in the role of Aurangzeb. The film is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films. The film was a blockbuster at the box office and grossed over ₹795 crore worldwide.
