There was an encounter between the police and Naxalites in the morning on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border. Telangana’s Greyhound Force has killed 6 Maoists including 2 female Naxalites, while some Naxalites are said to be injured. Two soldiers have also been shot. Search operation in the area

Telangana police had received information that a large number of Naxalites were present in Gundala-Karkagudem area of Kothagudem district. Based on this information, Greyhound force was sent for search operation a day before.

Soldiers recovered 6 bodies
The soldiers reached the Naxals’ hideout this morning. There was an encounter with the Naxals. There was heavy firing from both sides. The soldiers have recovered 6 dead bodies.
Police personnel killed 4 male Naxalites.
Police also killed two female Naxalites in the encounter.
The soldiers recovered weapons and bullets from the spot.
Maoists worth Rs 59 lakh killed in Dantewada
On September 3, an encounter took place in the jungles of villages situated below the hills of Bailadila in Dantewada district. The soldiers killed 9 Maoists including DKSZC Randhir, a resident of Telangana. There was a reward of Rs 25 lakh on Randhir. All those killed are Naxalites with a reward of Rs 59 lakh.
