China got the benefit of the draw between India and Kazakhstan. China defeated Georgia 2.5-1.5 to take the top spot in the women’s category with 15 match points.
Kazakhstan, Armenia and Mongolia are in joint second place with 14 points each. Uzbekistan and Greece are next with 13 points each.

Only 3 rounds are left in the 46th FIDE Chess Olympiad. In the men’s category, India is one point behind the top with 13 match points. India also has 13 points in the women’s category. The remaining three rounds will be important for both the teams in the medal race.
