A case of gang rape of a college student has come to light in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. According to the police, the case is 10 months old. During this period, about 7 boys raped the girl several times. The girl is mentally ill.

The incident came to light when the victim’s father checked his mobile phone one day. In which obscene messages and videos sent by the boys were found. The father lodged a complaint with the police. Two of the seven accused have been arrested.

The victim has also alleged that some other people who befriended her through social networking applications also raped her. Police sources said that of the two arrested, one is a 19-year-old student of a city college, while the other is a Class 12 student.
