This is the first time in the last four years that maximum number of devotees reached Chardham in August. This year a total of 2,31,518 devotees visited Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. Maximum of more than 1.25 lakh devotees visited Badrinath Dham. After three years, maximum number of Shiva devotees reached Kedarnath this August. After the Corona period, more than 2 lakh 67 thousand devotees had reached Chardham in August 2022. This year, the pace of Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra, which started from May 19, remained slow in July, but in August, despite heavy rains, closed highways and incidents of landslides at many places, a record was set in the number of devotees. This time in the month of August, 93,680 more pilgrims arrived in Chardham Yatra than last year and 1,18,502 more pilgrims than in 2024.
