After the election results, a representative or messenger of the party president talks to the winning MLAs, takes their opinion and then the high command takes the final decision.
Tharoor also made it clear that the party leadership is not bound by any rules or limits and he can give the responsibility of leadership to anyone he wants. That means who will become the Chief Minister will be decided only after the election results.

Tharoor said that if this happens, it will be a big political event at the national level as well, because then the Left Democratic Front will not be in power anywhere in the country.

Shashi Tharoor may have maintained silence on the post of Chief Minister, but if the results are in favor of Congress, then this question may gain momentum again. At present he has made it clear that the final decision will be taken by the party leadership only.
