क्या कोरोना की तरह फैल सकता है स्वाइन फ्लू, डॉक्टरों ने बताया इस बार कितना खतरा

Swine flu cases are increasing in many states of the country including Karnataka and Delhi. More than 4 thousand cases have been registered in Karnataka and more than 1700 cases have been registered in Delhi. There have been so many cases of swine flu after many years. Amidst its increasing cases, it is being feared that whether its cases can also increase like Covid, will H1N1 also be as dangerous as Corona?

Dr. Jugal Kishore, Professor in the Department of Community Medicine at Safdarjung Hospital, has told about this. he says that swine flu And Corona both are diseases caused by viruses. Both can mainly affect our breathing organs i.e. nose, throat and lungs, both can cause fever, cough, weakness and body pain. In some patients, if the disease progresses, there may be difficulty in breathing. However, the mortality rate in both these viruses is less than 1 percent. At present nothing has come to light that swine flu is very dangerous.

Swine flu will not be as dangerous as corona

ICMR has clearly said that no new strain of H1N1 has been found in India. The virus currently spreading is not new and the existing virus matches well with the strain included in the vaccine. Therefore, there is no basis to say that a Corona-like situation will arise right now. There is no need to panic about swine flu. There will be no danger like Corona due to this. But one should not be careless either. Most patients recover, but if difficulty in breathing starts along with high fever and body ache, then it is most important to consult a doctor immediately.

What are the preparations of the government?

In view of the increasing cases of swine flu (H1N1), the central and state governments have given strict instructions to prepare isolation wards and disaster wards in hospitals, reserve essential medicines and beds and increase monitoring through referral labs like AIIMS and NCDC. Major laboratories including AIIMS (AIIMS) and National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) have been deployed to test the samples. People have been advised to get tested if they are experiencing flu symptoms. The health departments of the states where cases have increased have also been asked to remain alert and complete all preparations related to the treatment and prevention of the virus.
