The fierce fire on Sunday night took the life of 7 people at the Trauma Center of Sawai Mansingh Hospital in Jaipur. The families of the deceased are shocked. In SMS, people came from different parts of the country- Agra, Jaipur and Bharatpur for treatment, but the fire in the hospital killed him. Prima facie short circuit is being described as the cause of fire. At the same time, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
Eyewitnesses said that smoke started coming out of the store of the neuro ward on the second floor of the trauma building at around 11.10 pm on Sunday night. The patients informed the staff about this, but the smoke spread so fast that the staff and the patients were forced to escape.
210 patients were in the trauma center at the time of the accident
The trauma center had 210 patients admitted at the time of the accident, out of which four had 40 patients in ICU. At night, each ICU has only one staff member who escaped in this incident, which further worsened the situation. Trauma had 11 patients in ICU and 13 patients in Semi-ICU. The fire spread rapidly and poisonous gases started coming out, which made it difficult to save most of the patients in most of the coma. Hospital staff, nursing officer and ward boys picked up the patients on the trolley, but 6 patients could not be saved despite CPR. The dead include two women and four men.
Staff ran away leaving patients
The dead include 40 -year -old Sarvesh Devi, who came from Agra for treatment, who died of suffocation with smoke. Jaipur Sher Singh, a resident of the district’s storm, told that when everyone ran away when the fire broke out, he picked up his mother and brought him out, but by then she was dead. Sher Singh is in shock.

The other deceased are Pintu (Sikar), Dilip (Andhi, Jaipur), Srinath, Rukmini, Retail (All Bharatpur) and Bahadur (Sanganer, Jaipur).
CM ordered an inquiry
According to the latest information, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has ordered an inquiry into the incident. A committee has been announced for investigation. The committee will be chaired by Iqbal Khan, Commissioner, Department of Medical Education.

FSL team will investigate
Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph said that the FSL team’s investigation will reveal the exact cause of the fire, but the short circuit is suspicious in the initial investigation. The death of 7 people has been confirmed, post mortem has been kept in Morchery. The rest of the patients have been shifted to another ward.
Four patients are serious
SMS Trauma Center Incharge Anurag Dhakad said that the fire trauma started with a short circuit in the ICU which spread rapidly. The staff saved 24 patients, but 7 serious patients could not escape. Four patients are still serious.
The family members of the victims have accused the staff of negligence. A family said that on seeing the spark, the doctors were told 4-5 times, but they called it normal. The staff ran away when the fire broke out, there was no fire extinguisher or water system.
