A case that embarrasses relations has come to light from Kottiyam in Kerala, where a 31-year-old man has been arrested by the police. The man is accused of uploading his wife’s private videos on porn websites. Not only this, the accused has also been seriously accused of committing obscene acts in front of his four year old daughter.
According to the police, the accused is originally from Mayyanad and was living in Britain with his wife and daughter for the last four years. Both of them got married about six years ago and were in a relationship with each other before marriage. It was told that this matter started during the family’s stay in Britain. The wife’s friends informed him that her personal video had gone viral on the internet.
When the woman was told by her friends that her intimate videos were available on pornographic websites, she allegedly talked to her husband about it. The woman warned him not to do this again. After this she became suspicious of her husband and checked his mobile phone. According to the police, a video was found in the mobile in which the accused was seen doing obscene acts in the presence of his four-year-old daughter.
The family returned from Britain after this incident came to light. Kerala Came back. According to the police, after reaching Kerala, the accused was given counseling for three days. However, it is alleged that despite counselling, his activities did not stop. Police say he allegedly recorded another video involving the girl.
When the woman protested against this alleged act of her husband, the matter became more serious. It is alleged that the husband assaulted her, after which the woman had to be admitted to the hospital. After treatment in the hospital, the police recorded the statement of the woman. On the basis of this statement, the police registered a case against the accused and started investigation.
According to PTI, the police also watched the alleged video during the investigation. After this, a separate case was registered under the POCSO Act, which protects children from sexual crimes. Police started searching for the accused, but he allegedly absconded after the incident.
The police proceeded with the investigation to trace the accused and finally arrested him. Police are now investigating videos, mobile phones and other evidence related to the case. In this case, the complaint related to the presence of the girl has been taken very seriously and that is why action has been taken under the POCSO Act.
Advocate Prashant V. Kurup, appearing on behalf of the complainant, has made another serious allegation against the accused. He says that the accused also used to put pressure on his wife to get involved in wife swapping. According to the lawyer, the woman never gave consent for this.
Advocate Kurup told that the accused had not been able to complete his engineering studies and he had gone to Britain with his wife. He alleged that even after counselling, the accused continued the alleged crimes. According to the lawyer, the woman continuously protested against these actions, but the situation kept worsening.
The lawyer has also raised questions on the initial action of the police. They allege that initially there was some negligence on the part of the police in recording the statement of the woman and carrying forward the investigation. Later, when the complainant prepared to approach the Kerala High Court, the police expedited the investigation.
Advocate Prashant V. Kurup claims that after the matter of approaching the Kerala High Court came to light, the police took swift action in the case and arrested the accused. At present the police is investigating the entire matter. There are many serious allegations against the accused including circulating private videos of his wife, allegedly committing obscene acts in the presence of the child and assaulting the woman.
The police investigation is now also looking at where the alleged videos were uploaded and how they were broadcasted. Besides, the allegations related to the girl are also being investigated under the POCSO law. All the allegations made in the case can be fully confirmed only after investigation and court action.
