Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury claimed that the parents of the victim of the Kolkata rape-murder case are under house arrest. He said on Saturday that he has met the family of the trainee doctor. The police have kept them under house arrest. They are not being allowed to go out. Barricades have been put around them. CISF has no information about this.

The Congress leader alleged that the victim’s family was offered money by the police so that they could perform the last rites of their daughter quickly. All this was done on the instructions of the state government.

A trainee doctor was raped and murdered in RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on the night of 8 August. The body of the doctor was found on the morning of 9 August. After this, doctors from all over the country came out on the streets. After the appeal of the Supreme Court, doctors of many hospitals cancelled the strike. However, the protest continues.
