The ongoing dispute regarding the property of actress Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband and late businessman Sanjay Kapoor has once again taken a new turn. In this case, the Supreme Court has issued a notice to Karisma Kapoor on Friday. This notice has been issued on the petition filed by Sanjay Kapoor’s third wife Priya Sachdev Kapoor, in which certified copies of the documents related to the divorce of Karisma and Sanjay Kapoor have been sought. The Supreme Court has asked Karisma Kapoor to respond to this petition within two weeks. The case was heard by Justice A.S. Chandurkar in his chamber. Priya Sachdev has requested the court to provide her all the documents related to the divorce between Karisma and Sanjay Kapoor in the year 2016. Priya says that after the death of Sanjay Kapoor, she is his legal heir and has a direct interest in the legal matters related to Sanjay’s property. He has argued that the divorce documents are necessary for official use in the succession case pending in the Delhi High Court. Through these documents, she wants to confirm the facts related to the financial agreement made at that time and the custody of the children. It is noteworthy that the divorce of Karisma Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor was full of controversies. During the divorce, Karishma had accused Sanjay of domestic violence and held his alleged drug addiction responsible for it. However, after a long legal battle, the couple got divorced with mutual consent in 2016. After this, Karishma withdrew the domestic violence case registered against Sanjay. At the same time, the Supreme Court had also canceled the dowry harassment case filed by Karishma, because the actress had given her consent for it. Legal battle over Sanjay Kapoor’s property Currently, there is a legal battle going on between Sanjay Kapoor’s property, his ex-wife Karisma Kapoor’s two children Samaira and Kiaan and third wife Priya Sachdev. Samaira and Kiaan have filed a petition in the Delhi High Court alleging that the will presented by Priya is fake and fabricated, which has been prepared with the intention of keeping them out of their father’s property.
