A case of molestation of two women by 10 boys has come to light in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. A video going viral on social media shows that the girls were going home in their car at night, when a black Scorpio tried to block their way. After some time, another car passed by, on both the gates of which two boys were hanging and making lewd comments on the women.
This video has been shared by a user named Prachi Joshi. She wrote that this video has been sent to her by a girl from Haldwani. Prachi has not revealed the names of those two girls, however she has given the entire incident quoting them. It is written in the post that the boys sitting in both the cars kept harassing the girls for 25 minutes.

Tonight I was returning after watching a movie with my friend. Then 10 men sitting in two cars tried to block our way on Mukhani Road near Sacred Heart School in Haldwani. A black Scorpio car with temporary number plate was going ahead of us.
Then a white Nios i20 blocked their way from behind. To prevent us from taking our car out from the side, the boys sitting in the Nios i20 took their car out from beside us. They had kept both the doors of their car open.
The first time this happened we somehow managed to escape. However, the boys followed us and blocked our way again. This time a man on a scooter passed by and stopped the boys, allowing us to escape once again. But the boys came after us again.
In this post, Prachi Joshi also tagged Uttarakhand Police. She criticized the police for not being able to ensure the safety of women. She questioned the increasing hooliganism in Haldwani and appealed to the police to take action against these boys.

Here an auto driver made the victim unconscious by mixing intoxicants and took her to the forest and raped her. The incident happened on Monday (26 August).
