Agreement between America and Iran on nuclear program stuck

Iran’s nuclear program remains a major obstacle in the path of agreement with America. US Vice President JD Vance had said earlier this month that Iran would have to substantially reduce its capacity to enrich uranium.

According to him, doing this is necessary to accept American demands and end the eight-month long war between the two countries.

Enriched uranium is one in which the amount of a particular type of atom is increased. Apart from generating nuclear energy, it can also be used in nuclear weapons.

Iran said- not even a single gram of enriched uranium will go out of the country

America, Israel and many Western countries have long accused Iran of trying to make nuclear weapons. A major reason for concern for these countries is Iran’s enrichment of uranium up to 60%.

Such high levels are generally not required for civilian nuclear power, whereas uranium used in nuclear weapons has an enrichment level of around 90%.

US President Trump has many times demanded to take Iran’s enriched uranium out of the country. But in response to this, Iran had said on October 20 that it would not allow even a single gram of enriched uranium to go out of the country.

Iran says it is not trying to make nuclear weapons. It is using its uranium only for the country’s energy needs.

Trump threatened to attack Iran during an election rally

“We can do another small operation, Epic Fury,” Trump said during a rally in Florida on October 23.

The US Army started the war against Iran on 28 February. It was named ‘Epic Fury’. However, Trump did not say when or what type of attack would happen again.

At the same time, Iran has warned that if America and Israel attack again, it will target the internet cables laid under the sea in the Gulf countries. This may affect internet services, banking and online business.
