Sisters of former Pakistan PM Imran Khan were sitting on strike outside Adiala Jail on Tuesday night.
Rumors have intensified on social media regarding the death of former Pakistan PM Imran Khan. Imran is lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail since August 2023.
Some media reports are claiming that his health is not well. For the last 3 weeks, Imran Khan’s sisters have been trying to meet him, but the jail administration is not allowing it. For this reason, the discussion regarding Imran’s health has intensified.
After increasing tension, the jail administration has said that Imran Khan’s health is absolutely fine. Meanwhile, Imran’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has sought clarification from the government regarding recent rumors regarding Imran’s health. Also demanded from the administration to arrange a meeting between the former Prime Minister and his family.

PTI said- If anything untoward happens to Imran, we will not tolerate it.
According to PTI, news of Imran Khan’s death is being spread through some foreign social media accounts, which is a violation of national security and human rights. The party has given a strict warning that the responsibility for Imran Khan’s safety, health and constitutional rights rests directly on the government.
If any untoward incident happens, it will not be tolerated. PTI also demanded an investigation into those spreading rumours.
Lathicharge on Imran’s sisters sitting on protest
Imran Khan’s sisters Alima Khan, Noreen Niazi and Dr. Uzma Khan have been protesting outside Adiala jail for the last several days, but they were not allowed to meet their brother.
His sisters alleged that during the protest they were lathicharged and dragged on the road. He called it cruelty and said that all this is part of a conspiracy to separate Imran from the family.
Imran’s sisters were misbehaved last week
Last week too, Imran Khan’s sisters were misbehaved by Rawalpindi Police. He was forcibly detained.
According to media reports, this incident happened when his sisters had reached Adiala jail for the weekly meeting with Imran Khan, but they were not allowed to meet.

Defense Minister said- Imran sleeping on a velvet bed in jail
Meanwhile, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif on Wednesday mentioned Imran’s jail facilities. He said that Imran has a TV in the jail, food comes from outside and gym equipment is also available.
Asif said that when he was in jail, he had only two blankets. He told that we used to sleep on the cold floor and eat only food cooked in the jail. We did not even get hot water.
He alleged that Imran has a double bed and a velvet bed. Claimed that jail officials take personal care of him.
Asif said that his supporters should fear God before lying on Imran.
High Court has given approval to meet Imran
In March 2025, Islamabad High Court had given permission to Imran Khan to meet his family and lawyers regularly, but the jail administration is not following the order.
In October 2025, the court ordered resumption of visits, yet his sisters have not been granted even a single visit.

Imran Khan has been in jail for more than 2 years
More than 100 cases are pending against Imran Khan and he is in jail since August 2023. He has been sentenced to 14 years in prison in a corruption case, which includes charges like selling government gifts (Toshakhana case) and leaking government secrets.
Imran is accused of selling Pakistan government’s land worth billions of rupees cheaply to Al-Qadir Trust. Imran was arrested in this case on 9 May 2023. After this, many important army bases were attacked across the country.
Pakistan’s National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had booked Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi and 6 other persons in December 2023 in the Al-Qadir Trust case. However, before this case was registered against Imran, he was already lodged in Adiala jail in the Toshakhana case.
More than 100 cases are pending against Imran Khan in corruption case.
Al-Qadir Trust case is a scam of Rs 50 billion
- According to Pakistani media reports, there are 4 important characters in this case. Imran Khan and wife Bushra Bibi, billionaire land mafia Malik Riaz and Bushra’s friend Farah Gogi.
- The Pakistan government alleges that when Khan became Prime Minister, he implicated Malik Riaz in a money laundering case. Riyaz’s property worth billions of rupees was confiscated in Britain. One of his henchmen was also arrested in London, from which 40 billion Pakistani rupees were recovered.
- It is alleged that two deals were made after this case. Under this, the British government returned the money recovered from Riyaz’s henchman to the Pakistan government.
- It is alleged that Imran did not inform the cabinet about this money. Rather, he formed a trust named Al Qadir and started a university to provide religious education. Its board of directors had 3 members. Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi and Farah Gogi.
- It has been said in the FIR of this case that Malik Riaz gave land worth billions of rupees for this. Also gifted a diamond ring to Bushra Bibi. In return, all the cases of Riyaz were dropped.
- Pakistan Home Minister Rana Sanaullah said after Imran’s arrest – This is the biggest scam in the history of Pakistan. The government treasury suffered a loss of at least Rs 50 billion. Despite this, neither Imran nor Bushra came for questioning even once in 13 months. Only 32 students took admission in this university in 3 years.
- According to Geo News, looking at the whole matter, a charge of taking bribe of Rs 1,955 crore was registered against Imran Khan and his wife.

Imran trapped due to wife’s audio leak
- Pakistani media reports had published news about an audio of Malik Riaz and his daughter Amber. This leaked video was of 2 minutes 17 seconds. In this, Riyaz and Amber were talking to Bushra about the transaction and disposal of some file. In this, Amber tells her father that Imran’s wife Bushra Bibi is asking for a 5 carat diamond ring. In return, she will get the contracts from Imran to Riyaz and will also get the case against him closed.
- According to the conversation in the leaked tape, Amber tells her father – I have had a conversation with Farah Gogi. She is saying that Bushra Bibi wants a diamond of not 3 but 5 carats. She will get the ring made herself, but we will have to pay for it. Bushra and Farah have talked to Khan Sahab. He will immediately get all the contract files OK. On this Malik Riaz says – No problem. Let’s send a 5 carat diamond.
- It is believed that this negotiation of contracts took place after taking the land of Al Qadir University.
