The same aircraft was to depart from Lucknow to Ahmedabad at 5:05 pm as 6E6968. According to airport sources, the incident of being struck by lightning occurred at an altitude of 17 thousand feet. After this the plane landed at Lucknow airport at 4:05 pm. Whereas it was to reach at 4:20 pm. However, all the passengers remained safe. At the same time, after technical problem, the plane was stopped at Lucknow airport itself. Indigo arranged another plane for the passengers. Due to a storm, on June 19, 2026, an Indigo aircraft (6E6068) parked at Kolkata Airport was struck by lightning. However, no passengers were injured in the incident. All 141 passengers and six crew members on board the plane were evacuated. Later he was sent to Agartala in another plane. Now know how lightning strikes an aircraft? Lightning usually hits the forward, pointed portion of an aircraft, such as the nose or wingtip. After this the current passes through the outer surface of the aircraft. This current passes out through the rear part of the aircraft i.e. the tail. Lightning does not cause much damage to the aircraft. Generally, if the aircraft is hit by lightning, there is very little damage to the aircraft. Actually, the outer surface of the aircraft is made in such a way that the current passes from outside only. In many cases only small marks or small holes are visible. However, after being hit by lightning, the aircraft is subjected to technical inspection. Passengers do not get electric shock. The external structure of the aircraft works to keep electricity away from the passengers. Therefore, the passengers sitting inside do not get electric shock. If lightning strikes, passengers may definitely hear a bright flash and a loud noise. If the aircraft’s systems are normal, it can continue its flight. But, after landing, technical inspection of the aircraft is necessary. If damage is found, the aircraft is not allowed to fly further. ————————————- Also read this news: Seeing the checking in UP, passengers started jumping from the moving train, after knocking the toilet gate, TTE said – get out, 371 people were caught.
