Terrorists sitting in Pakistan are now using porn websites for secret chatting. Security officials said on Sunday that terrorist organizations and Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI are using it the most. Terrorists are sending messages through it to the people recruited in Jammu and Kashmir. So that monitoring can be avoided on traditional social media platforms. Officials said that real-time chat tools are available on these pornography platforms. Who work in the name of helping in finding a date (partner) nearby. But the handlers are using them for terrorist activities. Terrorists are also using Tor network. Security agencies have started investigating many special digital tools. Terrorist handlers are also using Tor-based messaging apps like Quotex and Conion. These apps send data through encrypted nodes and hide the identity of the user. According to officials, access to Konyon’s APK file is restricted in India. APK, or Android Package Kit, is the file format that the Android operating system uses to distribute and install mobile apps. Apps from China and France are also favorites of terrorists. Apart from this, terrorists are also using France based apps which have the facility of end-to-end encrypted messaging without the need of SIM card or phone number. This makes it difficult to identify the user. The agencies are also monitoring Vietnam-based apps. Along with this, anonymous platforms like Moonchat are also under investigation. MoonChat includes PGP-encrypted versions, which are suspected to be of Chinese origin and do not require traditional registration. There are many versions of MoonChat that are used to find single people nearby. Porn apps in India are being downloaded through VPN According to officials, many pornography apps are banned in India. Despite this, they are being downloaded illegally through Virtual Private Network i.e. VPN. VPN creates a secure and encrypted connection to the Internet. This Internet protocol hides addresses and encrypts online traffic, making it difficult to monitor online activities and access data. Use of apps that run even on 2G networks Security officials found that handlers and terrorist recruits present in the valley were dependent on special apps that work even in slow 2G or edge network speeds. For registration on some of these apps, the user does not even need to provide a phone number or email. The new strategy was revealed as security forces tried to stop the use of virtual SIMs made by foreign companies. Virtual SIM is a technology that allows a computer to generate phone numbers. These numbers can be used on smartphones through special apps and leave very little digital trace. This was first revealed during the investigation of the 2019 Pulwama terror attack. 40 CRPF soldiers were killed in this attack. —————————
