A dispute over a trivial matter took a bloody turn in Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh. There, an altercation broke out between two people over asking for matches to light a cigarette and later one person was stabbed to death. The incident took place in Vellabadu village of Vemuru mandal and happened around 11 pm on Saturday night. According to the police, both the persons involved in the dispute were drunk at that time.
According to the police, CH Charan Teja was passing through a road in Vellabadu village at around 11 pm. During this time, he met 46-year-old Eipuru Yohan, a resident of the village. Charan Teja asked Yohan for a matchbox to light his cigarette, but Yohan refused to give him the matchbox. An argument started between the two over this small matter and within no time the matter turned into a bloody fight.
After the argument that started over a matchbox, the dispute between the two escalated so much that they started throwing stones at each other. Hearing the commotion on the road, people living nearby reached the spot. The local people intervened and pacified both of them and after convincing them, asked them to return to their respective homes. At that time it seemed that the matter had ended there, but after some time the dispute once again took a violent turn.
According to the police, Charan Teja returned from his house after some time with a knife. It is alleged that he attacked Yohan with a knife. Yohan, seriously injured in the attack, collapsed on the spot. The people present nearby and the neighbors immediately tried to take him to the hospital and took him to the Government Hospital, Tenali for treatment.
Neighbors took the injured Yohan to the government hospital in Tenali, but the doctors declared him dead after examination. After getting information about the matter, the police registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem. After the post-mortem process was completed, the body was handed over to the family. The police is now investigating the entire incident and the search for the accused Charan Teja is going on.
According to the neighbors, the condition of Yohan’s family is also very bad. He has left behind his wife and son. It is reported that his wife has been unable to hear and speak since birth, while his son has been suffering from an illness since childhood. After this incident, a mountain of sorrow has fallen on the family. At the same time, according to the police, the accused Charan Teja has not been arrested yet.
