Retired Major Vikrant Kumar Jaitley, brother of Bollywood actress Celina Jaitley, has been in custody in UAE (United Arab Emirates) for the last one year. The actress is making every possible effort to bring her brother back to India. Meanwhile, the actress has told that she is unable to sleep every night without crying in the memory of her brother.

Celina has written from the official social media account with the picture of her brother, ‘My brother and I. My dumpee, I hope you’re okay, I hope you know I stand by you like a rock. I hope you know that I never slept a single night without crying for you. I hope you know that I can give up everything for you. I hope you know that no one can come between us. I hope you know that I left no stone unturned. I hope that God will finally have mercy on you and me, I am waiting for you my brother.

On November 3, the court had given assurance of help

Celina Jaitley had recently told that the Delhi High Court has assured help to free her brother from Arab custody and bring him back to India and has sought a report from the officials of the investigating agencies. He wrote about this on social media,

‘Standing up for a soldier’, a ray of hope has come from the Delhi High Court in the case of retired Major Vikrant Kumar Jaitley. I am writing this with great gratitude from outside the Delhi High Court. Because after 14 difficult months, I have finally seen a ray of hope. I have just come out of the Honorable Delhi High Court, where the case of my brother Major Vikrant Kumar Jaitley was heard in open court.

The actress further wrote, ‘Honorable Justice Shri Sachin Dutta issued notice on my petition and ordered the government to file a status report. Also, they have appointed a Nodal Officer (Chief Liaison Officer) who will help in all necessary coordination and liaison in the case of my brother Major (Retd) Vikrant Kumar Jaitley, Indian Army (Infantry, 3 Para, Special Forces). He was missing for the last 9 months, and was then detained.

Celina has written emotionally, ‘Brother, you fought for us, now it is our turn to stand with you. I’ve been looking for answers for you for a year. Now I pray to God and our government to get justice for you and bring you back safely. I have full faith in our government, the Government of India, that it will protect our fourth generation soldier, patriotic son, grandson and great grandson, who has dedicated his entire youth for his country.

Indian soldiers are targeted unnecessarily – Celina

Celina Jaitley further wrote in her post, ‘He has also been honored with a bravery award. Even today, Indian soldiers are being targeted without any reason in foreign countries, I pray to our government to help our defenders and provide them security. I stand firm with my brother and my faith. This is a test of God, which I am passing with courage.

Let us tell you that Celina Jaitley is from army background. His grandfather and great grandfather were also in the Army and his father Colonel VK Jaitley was also an Indian Army officer, while his mother Mehar Jaitley was also in the nursing wing of the Indian Air Force. Celina’s brother Vikrant Jaitley was in the army. He was living in Arabia since 2016, where he was detained due to security reasons.
