The US will now charge $ 1,00,000 (about 88 lakh rupees) application fees for H-1B visa. President Donald Trump on Saturday signed the manifesto to implement the rule.
After a change in the rules of H-1B Visa, companies will be able to call only those employees who will have the best skill. That is, only people with extraordinary and top skills will be able to go.
The H-1B visa is approved for three to six years. India was the largest beneficiary of H-1B visa last year. 71% of the visas of the approved visa were Indians. China was second with 11.7%.
IT/tech companies of India send thousands of employees to the US on H-1B at their expense every year. However, now it will be less beneficial for companies to send people to America at such a high fee.
