Nikita, who worked in Colombia, America, was missing from Godishala’s New Year’s Eve. Now her body was recovered from her ex-boyfriend’s apartment.
The body of an Indian woman, who was missing since New Year in America’s Maryland state, has been recovered from her ex-boyfriend’s apartment. Marks of knife attack were found on the woman’s body. The police have registered a case of murder against her ex-boyfriend.
According to Howard County Police, the body of 27-year-old Nikita Godishala was found in the apartment of her ex-boyfriend Arjun Sharma in the Columbia area. Police have issued an arrest warrant against Arjun Sharma for first and second degree murder.
Police say that Arjun Sharma had filed a missing report of Nikita on January 2, but he fled from America to India on the same day. Officials suspect that Arjun murdered Nikita at around 7 pm on December 31.

Nikita was working as a data and strategy analyst in a health company in Colombia.
Preparation to take help of Interpol against the accused
Howard County Police is searching for Arjun in collaboration with US federal agencies and international organizations.
The US Attorney’s Office is preparing to issue a red notice through Interpol. When a red notice is issued, information about the accused is given to about 200 countries, including India, so that he can be arrested.
There is an extradition treaty between the US and India, but the process of bringing back the accused from India may take several months.
The Embassy of India has issued a statement on social media platform X saying that it is in touch with Nikita’s family and all possible assistance is being provided.
Who was Nikita Godishala?
Nikita was a healthcare professional and data analytics expert. He received the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India.
Later he did a Masters in Health Information Technology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, USA.
Police say that Arjun and Nikita’s relationship had ended, but they were in touch. At present the reason for the murder is not clear.
