Music composer and filmmaker Palash Muchhal has reacted for the first time on the allegations of fraud of Rs 40 lakh. Palash has termed all these allegations as completely baseless and factless and has said that he will take legal action in this matter. On Friday, Palash Muchhal issued a statement through his Instagram story saying that the allegations against him were made with the intention of tarnishing his image. Palash writes – “The allegations made on social media by Sangli resident Vidnyan Mane are completely baseless and factless. Their aim is to harm my image and they will not be left like this.” Palash further said that his lawyer Shreyansh Mitare is looking into this entire matter and all legal options are being considered. He made it clear that this dispute will be resolved only through legal means. What are the allegations? According to news agency PTI, 34-year-old actor and producer Vidyan Mane from Sangli district has complained to the police alleging that Palash Muchhal has cheated him of Rs 40 lakh. According to the complaint, Palash and Vidnyan met in Sangli on December 5, 2023. During the conversation, Palash had proposed to invest in his upcoming film ‘Nazariya’. It is alleged that Palash had assured Vidyan that on an investment of Rs 25 lakh, he would get a profit of Rs 12 lakh after the OTT release and would also be given a character in the film. Vidyan claims that after this both of them met twice and till March 2025, they gave a total of Rs 40 lakh to Palash. However, the film could not be completed. When he asked for his money back, he did not get any response. After this, Vidnyan applied to Sangli Superintendent of Police demanding registration of FIR. According to police officials, at present preliminary investigation of the case is being conducted.
