Actor Jackie Shroff, remembering the early days of Salman Khan’s career, said that he had helped him in getting his first film.

Talking to India Today, Jackie said that at that time Salman was working as an assistant director in the film Falak (1988), while his father Salim Khan was writing the dialogues for the film.

Jackie said, ‘I had given Sallu Baba his first film Biwi Ho To Aisi. However, later Maine Pyar Kiya was released and that made him a star.

He told that after seeing Salman’s picture on the set, he felt that Salman was very handsome. Jackie said, ‘I went to Subhash Ghai ji with his photo, but he refused. Then I took him to KC Bokadia. He asked his brother-in-law to show him the photo and that’s how Salman got the role. I used to go to many places with his photographs.

Talking about her long relationship with Salman, Jackie said that she has worked with him in most of his films. He said, ‘Earlier he used to cast me in all his films, but for some time he has not cast me in any film.’

Jackie Shroff and Salman have worked in films like Bandhan (1998), Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaye (2000), Bharat (2019) and Radhe (2021).

Talked about Shahrukh Khan also Jackie Shroff also remembered his first meeting with Shahrukh Khan. Which happened during the shooting of the film King Uncle (1993), in which Shahrukh was playing the role of his younger brother.

Jackie said, ‘Shahrukh had come to the set for the shooting of a song and was sitting quietly in a corner. He had a special way of showing respect, but he also maintained his distance. I found him very attractive and his smile was very beautiful.”

Talking about the work front, Jackie Shroff will soon be seen in The Great Grand Superhero: Arrival of Aliens, which is scheduled to release on May 29.
