He clarified that he has no political connection with his sister and brother-in-law due to political reasons. Rajiv Tripathi wrote that if his step has caused pain to his sister Namrata Pathak and Brajesh Pathak, then considering his future, he apologizes to them.
In his Facebook post, he openly said that he will propagate and expand the party by being imbued with the socialist ideology of the Samajwadi Party. He said that he will carry forward the ideology of socialism among all castes without keeping in mind caste equation and casteism. Rajiv Tripathi has said that Samajwadi Party will contribute in forming a government with full majority in 2027.
