This incident happened on Saturday. Akshit Kujur was an MBBS student of 2024 batch. He lived in hostel number-8 of RIMS. The door of his room did not open for a long time on Saturday. Initially the students living with him thought that perhaps he might be sleeping or might have gone out. But when no response was received for a long time, fellow students became worried.
After this the hostel management was informed. The door was broken, and the scene inside shocked everyone. Akshit’s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan in the room. As soon as the news of the incident spread, there was chaos in the hostel. The medical student was shocked by the death of his colleague.

As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and the body was sent for post-mortem. The family members were also informed. Akshit was originally a resident of Simdega. RIMS Director Dr. Rajkumar described the incident as tragic. He said that Akshit was a very good student in studies. Initial information has revealed that he could have been under mental stress for some time, but the real reason will become clear only after investigation.
There itself Jharkhand Bariatu police station in-charge Manoj Kumar said that the police is investigating the case from every angle. The items, mobile and other things found in the room are also being examined. Also, classmates and hostel students are being interrogated. At present the police is waiting for the post mortem report. Only after the investigation is completed will it be clear what was the reason behind this incident.
