Popular TV actor Ritwik Dhanjani had to face casting couch in the early stages of his career. In one of his recent interviews, he mentioned how he had to go through this terrible experience when he was just 20 years old.

Actually, recently Ritwik became a part of Two Girls and Two Cups podcast. When the actor was asked in the podcast whether he ever faced casting couch in the beginning? In response to this, the actor said- ‘When I came to Mumbai, I used to go to Aramnagar every day to give auditions. One day I was standing in a long line at the audition, when a casting director called me and told me that I had been shortlisted for the role.

I was shocked. I felt as if an angel had come from nowhere. I was very happy and started thanking him. Then he said that it will not work like this, I will have to sign a deal with his company and for that I will have to come to his office immediately. I also got ready. I said, Sir, tell me the address of your office and I will come. He asked me how did you come? I said bike and he said ok, I will sit behind you.

Ritwik further said- ‘When I reached, I saw that there was no office there. There was just one grocery store, one bun-maska ​​stall. He took me inside through a narrow lane. There was an orange colored gate inside and a big lock was installed there. When he opened the gate, it was completely dark inside. He told me this is my office. I swear my pants got wet, by then I had realized that something was wrong, this was not right.

The actor further says- ‘He told me that there is no need to work hard in the industry. You have to work smart. Then he started touching me. As soon as he touched me, I froze in place. I was scared inside. I was just 20 years old. I was trembling. Somehow I managed to escape from there.

Talking about Ritwik’s work front, he has worked in many TV, reality shows, web series and films. The actor got household recognition from the serial Pavitra Rishta released in 2011. Recently his web series named Half Love Half Arranged was released.
