Monalisa Bhosle, a resident of Maheshwar in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh, who went viral on social media while selling Rudraksh rosary in Prayagraj Mahakumbh, married her boyfriend Farman Khan in a temple in Kerala. Director Sanoj Mishra called it love jihad. Before the wedding, both of them had reached Thampanoor police station in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday. Here Monalisa sought protection from the police and said that her father was trying to forcibly take her back home. According to the police, Monalisa said that she is an adult and wants to live with Farman and marry him on her own free will. Both told that while working together in the film, they started talking and gradually the relationship turned into love. Farman Khan said, “We both were working together in a film. That’s where our conversation started. First Monalisa proposed me. I refused, but later we both fell deeply in love.” According to Monalisa, her and Farman’s relationship is about six months old. She told that her family members wanted her to marry someone else in the village, which was not acceptable to her. Director accused of ‘Love Jihad’ Director Sanoj Mishra, who gave a chance to Monalisa in the film, has expressed his displeasure over this marriage in a Facebook post. He wrote that the girl for whom he made a film by taking a loan of Rs 10 crore to give a chance, ruined everything by running away with a Muslim youth. Calling it “love jihad”, he alleged a conspiracy behind it. This is how Monalisa got recognition. Monalisa is a resident of Maheshwar. She had gone to Prayagraj Mahakumbh with her family to sell Rudraksha beads. Meanwhile, a content creator posted his video on social media, which quickly went viral because of his smile and eyes. She became so popular that even T-shirts with her pictures started being sold. Later, she wrote on social media that due to the crowd and being constantly surrounded, she was upset and was not able to even sell the garland. For this reason she left Mahakumbh and returned home. After this, director Sanoj Mishra offered her a film and she became famous overnight.
