West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had called a meeting of TMC MLAs on Sunday, but only 20 out of 80 MLAs turned up. This meeting was to be held at 3 pm at Mamata’s residence in Kalighat, Kolkata, but the meeting was postponed when 60 MLAs did not arrive. TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said that demonstrations are to be held across the state on June 1 to protest against the attacks on the party’s national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee and MP Kalyan Banerjee.
