Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has reached Kathmandu to help the people affected by the massive floods in Nepal. The team of his organization ‘Sood Charity Foundation’ has reached Nepal with blankets, ration and other essential items from India.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Sonu Sood said that his team will continue to send relief material for many months to come to rehabilitate the affected families. So far, more than 900 people have lost their lives in this natural disaster in Nepal.

Relief goods sent from India Sonu Sood said that his team is taking stock of the needs of the flood victims at the ground level. Sonu said, we have come here to meet the flood victims. Have brought a lot of goods, ration and blankets from India. In this time of crisis, it is the duty of all of us to stand with the needy.
He also said that transporting relief material from India to Nepal is a difficult task, but his foundation will ensure that help continues to reach the victims in the coming months.

About 3,925 people are missing in the massive floods in Nepal.
More than 900 people died due to floods in Nepal So far 939 people have died in the severe floods and landslides in Nepal. Apart from this, 3,925 people are still missing, including 592 foreign nationals. Rescue operations by the Army and local administration are going on in many districts including Rasuwa and Nuwakot. The Indian Embassy in Nepal has taken necessary steps to identify the bodies of Indian citizens who lost their lives in the floods.
Became helpers of laborers during Covid lockdown Sonu Sood’s process of helping people in disasters and crisis started in the year 2020 at the time of Corona epidemic and nationwide lockdown.

At that time, Sonu had arranged for buses, trains and special flights to send thousands of migrant laborers stranded in Mumbai to their home states (Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand etc.). He took the responsibility of the entire expenses of the migrants, from food and drink to the travel expenses. Since then he has been continuously active in social work.
Aid provided to Ukraine crisis During the second wave of Corona, Sonu Sood worked day and night to provide oxygen cylinders, concentrators and ICU beds in hospitals across the country.

Recently, Sonu Sood celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake with needy children.
After this, during the Russia-Ukraine war in the year 2022, he helped many Indian students stranded in Ukraine to bring them safely to India through the borders of Romania and Poland. Through his foundation, Sonu has been continuously providing education to economically weaker children, free medical surgeries and financial help to the victims of accidents.
