Controversy has increased after the recent revelations of TV serial ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain’ fame Shilpa Shinde. Shilpa has admitted that she had filed a fake sexual harassment case against producer Sanjay Kohli 10 years ago. After this, All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has demanded action against him from Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Meanwhile, actress Upasana Singh has come in support of Shilpa. Upasana told Indian Express that Shilpa made a mistake and she has accepted it, hence she should not be made a villain.

Shilpa is a helpful and clean hearted person on the set. Upasana Singh has worked with Shilpa Shinde in shows like ‘Maika’ and ‘Betiyan Apni Ya Paraya Dhan’. While sharing her experiences, Upasana said that there is an aspect of Shilpa which no one is talking about.
She always stood up for the junior staff like spotboy, lightman and make-up man on the set. If someone came to her and said that he did not have money for food, Shilpa would definitely help him. She is of very kind nature.
Had taken wrong step out of compulsion and anger Upasana said that she is not justifying Shilpa’s mistake, but people should also understand the situation at that time. Many times in the entertainment industry, the fight between two people increases so much that people cross the limits in anger and frustration. At that time Shilpa probably did not have money, she wanted to leave the show and was very upset.
When he felt that his views were not being heard, he took this step. Upasana said that the same producer later worked with Shilpa again, which shows that he also understood that all this happened out of anger.

Shilpa Shinde played the character of Angoori Bhabhi in the TV show Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain in 2015.
Courage to accept the truth should be appreciated In the interview, Upasana said that Shilpa is being targeted only because she herself has accepted her mistake in front of the whole world. If she had remained silent, no one would have said anything. According to Upasana, it takes a lot of courage to accept a mistake. He said that perhaps even he would not have had the courage to speak such truth. People may question his mistake, but it is wrong to portray him as a complete villain.
Was revealed in Bharti and Harsh’s show This whole controversy started when Shilpa Shinde recently joined comedian Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s YouTube channel. There she admitted that 10 years ago she had filed a false case of sexual harassment against ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain’ producer Sanjay Kohli. Shilpa said that she had no other option at that time. The producers were pressurizing her to sign a contract after which she would not be able to work with any other production house.
