Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on UP and Uttarakhand tour today. He will inaugurate the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor. He will reach Saharanpur at 11:15 am. Will take stock of the wild life section here, then visit and worship at Shaktipeeth Maa Daat Kali temple.

After this, he will inaugurate the Economic Corridor from Dehradun at 12:30. About 135 km (64%) of the 212 km long expressway passes through UP. The expressway was completed in about 4 years at a cost of Rs 12 thousand crores.

This is PM’s first visit to Saharanpur after the Lok Sabha elections. Earlier, had come to Saharanpur on 6 April 2024. CM Yogi reached Saharanpur on Monday and tested the preparations. 3 thousand soldiers have been deployed for the security of the PM. The temple premises have been decorated with about 100 kg of flowers brought from Vrindavan and West Bengal.

3 thousand soldiers deployed in security

Before the arrival of the PM, the Maa Daat Kali temple has been decorated with about 100 kg of flowers brought from Vrindavan and West Bengal. Special puja arrangements have been made for the Prime Minister.

The entire route from Ganeshpur helipad to the temple has been decorated. More than three thousand policemen have been deployed. Apart from this, PAC and RAF teams will also be engaged in security. On Monday, SPG and intelligence agencies inspected the helipad, public meeting place and the entire route and finalized the security arrangements.

The Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor is 213 kilometers long. The six-lane Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor has been built at a cost of about Rs 12 thousand crores. After its commencement, the travel time from Delhi to Dehradun will reduce from about six hours to two and a half hours, which will provide great relief to the passengers.

It has 10 interchanges, 3 railway over bridges, 4 major bridges and 12 way-side facilities. Besides this, advanced traffic management system has also been installed.

For the safe movement of wildlife, a 12 km long Wildlife Elevated Corridor has been built. Which is being counted among the longest corridors of Asia. Apart from this, 8 animal passes, two elephant underpasses of 200-200 meters each and a 370 meter long tunnel have also been built near Dat Kali temple.
